History of Mercedes

Mercedes car is known as the cars of bosses. It is the only brand of cars that got so famous that it opened the first Mercedes workshop in Dubai. There are different brands as well like Porsche and there is a workshop of Porsche repair in Dubai as well. Just like different car brand history, Mercedes have a history and an amazing timeline of their own. The motto of Mercedes is Das Beste Oder Nichts which means the best or nothing. And we also think that it is the best when it comes to a strong car and a car that has the utmost superior design. Read the history of Mercedes below and learn more about it.

1834: this was the year when the master of car design Carl Benz was born on November 25th in Karlsruhe in Germany. His father died when he was two years old but his mother managed to send him to a good grammar school and later, he become a mechanical engineer.

1846: Wilhelm Maybach was born in this year on February 9th in Heilbronn and he lost his parents when he was only 10 years old, he was adopted in Reutlinger Bruderhaus and while he was in school, he met Gottlieb Daimler in 1864.

1871; Benz made his first company with August Ritter in Mannheim in Germany but the partnership among them did not work so, Carl removed Ritter from the company. But he continued with the work and made the first gas fueled two stroke engine in 1879 and this was a huge success. Benz then started another company which was a shareholding company named as Gasmotorenfabrik Mannheim also called the Mannheim Gas Engine Factory and this was in 1882 but for some reason, he soon left the company.

1872: Daimler become the first technical director of Deutz Gasmotorenfabrik and the company is followed by Wilhelm. He also worked in this company for four years and so and then he left the company to make his own workshop and Wilhelm followed his footsteps.

1884: both of these two made combustion engine which was called Grandfather Clock, which was best for an automobile.

1883: Benz made a company called Benz & Cie. Rheinische Gasmotoren-Fabrik Mannheim also known as (Benz & Co. Rhine Gas Engine Factory Mannheim).
